STENCIL MACHINES BICKNELL HAND CRANK ROLLER TYPE
MODEL 6H-E
MODEL 12H-E These stencil cutting machines operate on the basis of a tray being pressed as it rolls forward then reversed between rollers. The rollers are preset to the thousandths of an inch for proper pressing. Machines have been designed to be used with plastic die-cutting letters, numerals, and designs as they are uniform in thickness. Each machine is built here in Elberton, so replacement parts are available if needed. These hand crank models are easily used in the shop or on-site as they are small and lightweight. Model 6H-E and 12H-E can be shipped by UPS.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Set machine up on a sturdy, safe surface. Slide the conveyor trays between washers and nuts on both sides of machine. Enter on the left, and exit on the right when facing the handle side. The bottom nut is locked into the proper height, do not adjust. Tighten the top nut down onto washer and tray. Place the plastic hinged letter tray on the enter side with cover having the hand handle attached on top. Lift the cover up, place rubber stencil inside with rubber side facing up. Assure that all of stencil is inside the tray between raised edges. You place the plastic characters and/or designs on the rubber stencil with cutting edges facing down. Use the provided spacer bars to keep characters in alignment. Gently close the cover and push the plastic letter tray between the rollers while turning the roller crank counter clockwise. Be sure the the right side is clear of any obstacles. Keep hands and clothing away from tray and rollers while operating machine. When letter tray is completely through to the exit side, reverse the procedure bringing it back to the enter side, turning handle clockwise. After letter tray has returned you can now raise tray cover and remove the plastic characters or design from the rubber stencil. If the machine is over cutting, it will cut thru the plastic liner of rubber. If letters or design are difficult to remove, it is under cutting. To adjust cutting depth, increase or decrease the distance between the rollers by using the top nuts as designated on machine top, rotating same for each. Each machine is checked and tested before being shipped. Some rubber stencil may have different results, so only make adjustments when it is a consistent problem.
